Risotto Style Pasta
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon Double Happiness Brown Gravy Mix
- 1 carrot
- 1/2 onion
- 1 cup garden peas (frozen or canned is ok)
- 1 cup smoked chicken - optional
- 1 cup Baby Shell Pasta
- 3 minced garlic cloves
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese
Method
- Mince the garlic cloves, the onion and the carrot very small.
- Fry the garlic and onion with olive oil. Once they turn translucent add the carrots. Add the peas at that step if they’re frozen.
- Boil water.
- Once water is boiled add the pasta and cover up the height of the ingredients with water.
- Add the Brown Gravy Mix tablespoon and stir.
- Let it simmer until water is evaporated.
- Pasta and veggies should be soft. If not add some water and let it simmer longer.
- Once water is evaporated, add the canned peas (if using can). Stir. Add the cheese and stir again for one minute.
- Ready to serve!
