Ms. Joyce Tan is a registered dietitian with the Malaysia Dietitians’ Association. She graduated with a Master in Nutrition and Dietetics from Flinders University, Australia in 2011. With more than 10 years of experience working in hospitals, and food services across Australia, Singapore and Malaysia. Joyce is passionate about healthy eating and nutrition. She is a regular keynote speaker in child and maternal nutrition conferences which include the recent 2021 International Young Children Feeding Asia- Pacific Conference. Joyce is well-versed in food safety management systems
(ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP) as healthy foods need to be safe for consumption especially by children who are vulnerable group. She is also a part-time lecturer at private universities, imparting nutrition skills and knowledge to medical students and health science students. As a mother herself, Joyce believes that parents are important role models in influencing their child’s eating behaviours and there are no such thing as good food or bad food. Only sometimes food or everyday food.
